Sandra Izekor, MSW, RSW.
Founder and Director of Family Flourish Therapy
Sandra holds a Master of Social Work and a Master of Mental Health with a specialization in Psychotherapy from the University of Queensland, Australia. She is a Registered Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families through some of life's most difficult transitions including high-conflict separation, parenting disputes, and complex family circumstances.
Sandra’s private practice provides specialized services to families impacted by separation and divorce, complex relational challenges, and high-conflict parenting situations, bringing a thoughtful and balanced approach that keeps the emotional wellbeing and best interests of children at the centre.
Before relocating to Canada, Sandra served as a Court Child Expert with the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia conducting family assessments, contributing to mediation processes, and advocating for the voice of the child within court proceedings. It's work she took seriously then, and it shapes everything she does now. In Ontario, Sandra provides Section 30 (CLRA) Custody and Access Assessments and Voice of the Child Reports for families navigating parenting disputes, bringing the rigour of court-based practice to a private, accessible setting. She also has experience as an expert witness in matters related to parenting, family functioning, and the best interests of children.
Alongside her forensic assessment work, Sandra offers individual therapy for adults, using an integrative approach including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to support clients in processing difficult experiences and developing healthier relational patterns.
Sandra believes that children deserve to be heard, and that families even in conflict deserve to be understood.
"Structured, child-centred interventions that support families in making decisions that prioritize the well-being of children."

A Section 30 of the Children's Law Reform Act (CLRA) is a professional assessment conducted by a trained social worker or psychologist to provide an independent, detailed understanding of a family's situation. The purpose is to help the court and the family make informed decisions about custody and parenting arrangements, considering the needs of the child and their best interest.
During separation, children often have thoughts and feelings that deserve to be heard without pressure or influence. A Voice of the Child Report gently brings forward their voice to help guide child-focused decision-making.
Unlike a full custody assessment, a VOC report is typically quicker, less intrusive, and more cost-effective. It does not require a court order, collateral interviews, or direct observations.
One-on-one therapy sessions using an integrative, evidence-based approach tailored to your individual needs and goals.
Section 30 CLRA parenting assessments. A retainer is required in advance, held in trust against anticipated costs as outlined in the service agreement.
